Should be fed as the meaty bone component of a homemade raw diet. Suitable for both dogs and cats. Turkey necks are a very lean meaty bone. Necks of any kind should be rotated with other meaty bones. Feeding an excessive amount of necks, trachea, or gullet can potentially cause dietary hyperthyroidism due to active thyroid tissue/enzymes that may be present in these items. However, necks are perfectly safe to feed in moderation. We generally recommend to rotate the meaty bone portion of a DIY diet every other day.
