DIY Pupsicle Rocket Pops for Dogs

The rocket pops from your childhood reimagined for your dog to enjoy! Bring a little whimsy to their day (and yours!) with these DIY Pupsicle Rocket pops for dogs and help them keep cool, hydrated, and healthy this summer.

 Homemade Pupsicle Ingredients:

    • Watermelon

    • Raspberries (washed)

    • Blue spirulina powder

    • Goat’s Milk

Required Meal Prep Supplies

    • Blender

    • Rocket-shaped popsicle molds

    • Popsicle sticks (or something else edible & healthy for your dog to use in place of wooden stick)

    • Spoon

Recipe Instructions

  1. Remove watermelon rind and cut into chunks. Thoroughly wash raspberries.
  2. Add watermelon and raspberries to blender and blend until smooth.
  3. Spoon the watermelon/raspberry mixture into the molds to fill approximately the bottom third of the popsicle mold and place in the freezer until semi-frozen.
  4. Remove the molds from the freezer and fill an additional one-third of the popsicle molds with plain goat’s milk.
  5. Return the molds to the freezer until the new layer of goat’s milk is semi-frozen.
  6. While this new layer is hardening in the freezer, blend enough blue spirulina powder with goat’s milk to create a blue liquid. Blend until thoroughly combined and there are no powdery lumps.
  7. Remove the popsicle molds from the freezer and push your wooden popsicle sticks (or whatever you have selected to use in lieu of the sticks) into the goat’s milk layer.
  8. Add your blue spirulina + goat’s milk mixture to fill the remainder of the popsicle mold.
  9. Return your now-filled molds to the freezer and let sit until completely frozen.
  10. Once frozen, remove the molds from the freezer and run warm water over the outside of the mold until pops release.
  11. Store in a freezer-safe container, serve to your dog as an occasional treat, and watch them enjoy!

Disclaimer: If you use wooden popsicle sticks, be sure not to let your pet consume them.
